Platte Services, Inc., has been coordinating events and providing services for seniors in Platte County since 1982. Platte Senior Services, Inc. is currently looking for volunteers to help with their Meals-On-Wheels Program in Southern Platte County. Please check any of the possible volunteer positions that you would be interested in participating in.

Volunteer Driver (monthly, weekly, daily)
Time involved in delivery of meals is approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours.
Volunteers must have their own transportation, a valid driver’s license and insurance. Training is provided. Meals are picked up at Congress Middle School at 10:30 a.m. and delivered to our clients.

Exercise Leader (Monday through Friday, 10:15 – 10:45)
Assist in the office (Monday through Friday, 9:30 – 2:00)
Teach a class (Monday through Friday, 9:30 – 1:30)
          Bridge
          Computer Class
          Arts & Crafts Class
Assist in the Center Kitchen
      (Monday through Friday, 9:00 – 1:00)

Platte Senior Service, Inc. Center is open to the public, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 – 1:30. Congregate meals are served daily, and activities are held on a daily basis.

This is a very rewarding way to give back and really make a difference in the lives of our seniors. You get the opportunity to meet a lot of very interesting people and help them remain independent in their home, as there is no place like home!
